A PRAYER BY A KNUCKLE HEAD!

Forgive me Lord for the times I do,

but I know not what I am doing.

Be patient with me Lord when

I forget to do what I need to be doing.

Don’t give up on me Lord when

you find me wandering and wondering what to do.

Grace my thoughts now, before that

vacant sign goes up in my eyes.

Shower me with blessings when a drought of ideas floods my mind and threatens to over whelm.

Grant me the peace to know when

it’s going to pieces and when

it’s time to pick up the pieces.

Remind me to laugh again once

the pain subsides and I catch my breath.

Stay by my side as I shave a sliver of life

and try to do better than my best.

Step on the slow motion button if

I trip or stumble and fumble for

want of affirmative thinking.

Yes that’s it Lord,

I can’t think of anything more I can let you do for me.

Amen

A Field Day at the Store of My Mind's Eye.

Have you heard the saying “Thoughts become things, choose the good ones”

I began to imagine thoughts as clothing for the mind to help concentrate.

What if thoughts were cloth in the physical world?

Imagine a store with yarns and yarns of every manner of thought conceivable.

When you wanted thoughts which were lithe with room to breathe, maneuver and remain fresh.

All you would have to do is choose cotton thoughts.

These will bring you to your creative best. Sure to make you happy.

Polyester thoughts are durable, potent with influence and spirit.

So that could be your choice on another day.

Accomplishment and achievement will crown these thoughts.

Synthetic thoughts can ever so often be

a fibber, artificial its strong suit and illusory at best.

Considering these thoughts are you? I would have to be sorry for you.

For the aftermath leaves you hollow and disillusioned.

Wool thoughts can fleece you of your peace, make you put out of sight the important and coat your will dark wishes.

In some circumstances they seem the yummy choice.
